A good ending for the Devastation issue, indeed.
The only thing that depressed me was the relationship between Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.
What the hell was wrong with Sideswipe???
He'd been bugging Prime to get him to the Earth to rescue Sunny, and the memory from Spotlight: Cyclonus still seemed as fresh as from yesterday. So it's not about "he's my brother I have to do it" but rather "that sucker is in some trouble which gives me the best opportunity to show him who's the man here." Oh well, I don't really care about his motivation as long as he can get Sunny out of Machination. But did he do it? No. After all these efforts, after Roddy got him the exact location of Sunny's whereabouts, Sideswipe was like, "Screw this. I'm going home." And he was, "puff", gone.
I am very, VERY, depressed.
A twist in those two's relationship. Yeah, sure. Turning twins into strangers is not something new, Simon. Remember in the Mirror-verse Sunny didn't even make it to showing up? I wouldn't give a damn if Sideswipe never cared about Sunstreaker, as long as he was acting all the way coherently. Had he done it, I would be like, "Sure, not biggie. new relationship right?" But no. He ACTED as if he cared. He gave us hope as if he would be Sunny's only savior. I did wish him to bring Sunny back. And now the hope is gone, shattered beyond repair.
They can be strangers. Just don't lie. Don't give us hope and then take it away.
Something fishy is going on here. In the Megatron Origin the twins were, well, pretty much like twins: they were close to each other. In the All Hail Megatron issue #1, the twins made a cameo and they still looked close to each other. Considering the Megatron Origin is part of the IDW continuity and so is AHM, plus the latter is also the sequel to the -ation series, I'd assume those are the same characters. So does it mean Sunny and Sides ARE brothers afterall? I don't understand. I hate incongruence when I see one.
